Tips

1. All plans include a premium Tier-1 brand battery system with a total value of $30,000.

2. Grid consumption is covered up to 5,000 kWh, 8,000 kWh, or 10,000 kWh, depending on your plan, starting from 1 March 2026.

3. Installation is completed within 45 days from the date that your site assessment is approved, all required documentation is completed, and the 50% deposit has been received.

How the Spiring Plan Rebate Works (Eco Plan Example)

Eco Spiring Plan Monthly Energy Limit:

5,000 kWh ÷ 12 = 416.67 kWh per month

Your rebate depends on how much grid electricity you use after your own system’s energy is counted.

 

Example 1: Monthly usage is higher than the plan limit

Total electricity used: 500 kWh

Energy generated by your system: 200 kWh

Electricity bought from the grid: 300 kWh

Rebatable consumption

= Monthly limit − system generated energy

= 416.67 − 200

= 216.67 kWh

If grid electricity costs $0.33/kWh:

Rebate = $71.50

 

Example 2: Monthly usage is within the plan limit

Total electricity used: 300 kWh

Energy generated by your system: 200 kWh

Electricity bought from the grid: 100 kWh

Rebatable consumption

= Electricity purchased from the grid

= 100 kWh

At $0.33/kWh:

Rebate = $33.00

 

*Please note that some charges, such as daily supply charges, demand charges, penalties, and administrative fees charged by your retailer are not covered by the rebate.

What is the Spiring $0 Bills Plan?

The Spiring $0 Bills Plan is an all-in-one home energy solution that combines a premium battery system, professional installation, and intelligent Virtual Power Plant participation. It is designed to help eligible households reduce their electricity bills to $0 for a full year, within a defined annual usage limit, while participating in a smarter energy community.

Who can apply for this Spiring $0 Bills Plan?

This program is open to homeowners who meet the following criteria:


1. You are a residential, non-ABN customer located anywhere in Australia.
2. You own the Premises or have the legal right to install and use the System.
3. A minimum of 5 kW solar PV system is installed.
4. You have not previously received any government battery rebate for this property. (This does not include solar rebates such as STCs.)
5. The Premises is not involved in any other VPP Offer or other demand response program, including any pilot or demonstration trial.
6. No person at the Premises relies on the System for life support or any other life-sustaining or critical medical needs.

How do the $0 Bills work?

$0 Bills are achieved through participation in our Virtual Power Plant program.

 

When you join the VPP, your home battery is intelligently managed as part of a shared energy network. In exchange, electricity costs for eligible households are covered through the program.

To achieve $0 Bills:

1. Customers must participate fully in our VPP community

2. Customers agree to forgo individual VPP dispatch rights

3. Applicable to households with annual electricity consumption of 10,000 kWh or below

 

$0 Bills are not paid out in cash and apply only to electricity charges on your energy bill.

What is the difference between three Spiring  $0 Bills Plans?

The difference is the amount of annual electricity usage covered under the $0 Bills program.

Both plans use the same battery system, inverter, installation process, and VPP technology. Only the annual usage coverage differs.

Why do I need to pay a $100 deposit?

The $100 deposit allows you to lock in your plan price and secure a limited installation allocation. The deposit is fully refundable at any time if you decide not to proceed.

When do I pay the remaining balance?

The remaining balance is only payable after your site assessment is approved and before installation is scheduled. If your home is found unsuitable, your deposit is fully refunded.

What if my system is not installed within 45 days?

Once your site assessment is approved and all required documentation is completed, Spiring guarantees installation within 45 days. If installation is delayed beyond 45 days due to Spiring, you can choose to receive a $300 coupon applied to your final payment.

Does the installation fee cover all locations?

Standard installations are included in all plans at no extra cost. For remote locations, our team will provide a clear quote before confirming installation, ensuring transparency and no surprises. For remote or hard-to-reach areas, we may need to assess the site and confirm any additional fees before proceeding.

Can I exit the VPP later?

Yes. There are no long-term lock-ins. If you choose to exit the VPP program, you simply stop receiving $0 Bills Plan and community benefits. Your battery system remains fully functional for self-consumption.

How does payment and installation scheduling work after I place a deposit?

After you place the $100 refundable deposit, your system allocation and installation slot are reserved.

 

Our installation team will then contact you to review your site details and confirm installation suitability. Once confirmed, payment is completed in two steps:

* 50% installation deposit to secure your confirmed installation date

* 50% final balance payable after installation is completed

 

You will receive a confirmed installation timeframe after the 50% deposit is paid. Any coupons, discounts, or credits are automatically applied to the final 50% balance, not the initial deposits.

When does my $0 Bills coverage start?

Coverage begins once your battery system is fully installed, connected to the grid, and commissioned in the VPP.

For customers completing installation and commissioning before 1 March 2026, coverage starts on 1 March 2026.

For customers completing installation and commissioning after 1 March 2026, coverage starts on the actual commissioning date.

Signing up or paying a deposit alone does not trigger coverage.

Does the Spiring $0 Bills Plan cover Daily Supply Charges and Demand Charges?

This plan covers usage charges only. Standard Daily Supply Charges and any applicable Demand Charges are not included and will appear on your bill.

Important Things to Know

1. All plans' pricing is after new Federal rebate. Any further rebate changes may require a review of the final pricing.
2. $0 Bills can be achieved when participating in our VPP program and opting to forgo VPP dispatch rights. This applies to households using up to 5,000 kWh (Eco), 8,000 kWh (Core), or 10,000 kWh (Max) one year, depending on the plan selected.
3. The Spiring $0 Bills Plan is scheduled to start from 1 March 2026. Your participation in the plan, including all benefits and $0 Bills eligibility, begins on the date your battery system is fully installed and your Virtual Power Plant participation is activated. The plan remains valid for one year from that date.

4. Participating households must have an existing, operational solar system that complies with CEC (Clean Energy Council) standards. To check whether your solar PV modules are compliant, we recommend using the Clean Energy Council (CEC) Approved Products List.

5. Each household account may purchase up to two Spiring $0 Bills Plans to ensure fair and balanced access for all customers.
